About US

My name is Lindsay Woodard, and I was a classroom teacher for over twenty years teaching grades 5-12. I have four teaching credentials and taught English-language arts and US history, both through the AP® level.

My passion is advising students their journey to find the perfect college match. We examine all factors: academic, social, and financial. From there we create a balanced list and spend time crafting applications and essays.

I have two bachelor's degrees from New York University, a master's degree from the University of Southern California, and a master's degree in school counseling from Concordia University Irvine.

I am a proud member of the California Association of School Counselors (CASC), the American School Counselor Association (ASCA), the Western Association of College Admission Counseling (WACAC), the National Association for College Admission Counseling, and the prestigious Independent Educational Consultants Association (IECA).

My name is Lauren Gleason and I love engaging with high schoolers! Over the past 15 years I have worked with high school students to support their academic and personal development as a “mentor” teacher.  In this role I was able to guide students as they explored their voice and values through the writing process.

My approach to writing is to be curious about each student through questions and conversation.  This encourages students to reflect in ways that open new perspectives of their strengths, unique experiences and personal story.  Through the process of writing college essays, my goal is for students to learn about themselves as individuals and as writers.  This will produce the strongest possible essays as well as a more capable college student!

I earned my undergraduate degree in sociology at the University of California, Santa Barbara as well as a masters in education at UCSB. Currently I am an Instructional Support Specialist in the Santa Barbara Unified School District. I have two daughters in college.
My name is Megan Bradbury, and I love helping young people tell their stories! As a current high school English and AVID teacher, I have had the joy of helping students articulate their experiences and passions for several years now. Essay writing can feel daunting, but remembering that it is a supported process can make it feel not only exciting but genuinely meaningful.

My goal is to support students in reflecting on their identities and experiences so that they can effectively articulate their values, aspirations, and skills. Ideally, this process helps them gain deeper insight into their "why" and clearly communicate how they are equipped to achieve their goals. Through our work together, we will craft creative and compelling essays that spark curiosity in the reader and encourage students to feel confident about the next steps in their journeys.

After graduating from Santa Barbara Unified School District, I earned a B.S. in Psychology from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. I returned to Santa Barbara to earn two teaching credentials, in History & Social Studies and English Language Arts, and a Master's degree in Education from the University of California, Santa Barbara. I have lived here ever since and love spending time with my family!
